The option to choose an assisted death, whether administered by a medical professional (Canada) or self-administered (in several states of the US), has become the subject of much discussion in Jewish circles.

SaraLeya Schley carefully reviews classical Jewish sources as well as contemporary writings in light of traditional values of the sanctity of life and the value of each individual created in the image of God.
